Training Descriptions
Analyzer technicians are highly skilled technologists that install, calibrate and maintain some of the most sophisticated instrumentation in the world. Analyzers are used in all types of refining, petrochemical and manufacturing industries, and are valuable for the control of processes and environmental compliance. Most analyzer technicians start out as instrumentation technicians who, because of their aptitude and attitude, have moved to a higher level of technology
This course of instruction prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as an Analyzer technician. Graduates may find suitable employment with in Manufacturing, Chemicals and Refineries, paper and steel plants, power plants and offshore facilities.
Students will learn to troubleshoot and repair common analyzers used in the industry. These analyzers that will form the basis for your training are the back bone of the analytical systems used in the Houston area for Refinery and Chemical plants
This program is excellent for training instrument technicians as well as for the multi-craft training needs of process and manufacturing
This lesson is designed for Participants with an understanding of industrial process control.
Participants should also have a basic understanding of chemistry and physics.
This lesson introduces Participants to the principles of process analysis. The advantages of process analysis for industry are discussed and the scientific principles of the various process analysis methods, such as spectrometry, chromatography, and an electrochemical and physical property analysis are described
seeking to better understand the measurement principles of various process analyzers. Discussed during this class are pH, Conductivity,
Total Organic Analyzers, Gas Chromatographs and Continuous Analyzers (IR, UV, and O2). A comprehensive exam is then administered at the end of the course.
